Holiday tears?

Back from Thanksgiving break and now the real work begins. With group projects, tests, and papers filling up our schedules, it is the time of year where the stress level for students are shooting out the roof. All nighters will become the norm, our coffee intake will quadruple, our stylish outfits will consist of sweatpants and hoodies, and the words “Christmas break” will be our only type of motivation to get through the last three weeks. At a time of gift giving and holiday cheer, shouldn’t the opposite be true? We should be skipping across campus with smiles on our faces and a song with each step. Instead we’ve made the library our second home and are miserable to the point of tears. Do yourself a favor. Stop what you’re doing, close your eyes, and just breathe for ten minutes. Then turn away from your work and do something else for an hour, like read our new Loyola Looks articles! It’s so important to take breaks from your work every hour or so, otherwise, you will drive yourself crazy and may even end up screaming or crying in the library. You don’t want to be that person, trust me…We’ve got some great articles this week for the holiday season and have a special gift guide to help you figure out what to get your loved ones in the next couple of weeks. Check them out and remember, only three weeks away from freedom!
