Fashion Week 2012 Trend Alert

We’re currently in the midst of fashion week in London right now, and with hundreds of shows already come and gone, we’ve managed to pick up a few trends we can expect to see this coming fall. Bright, bold colors were seen all over the runway at New York and London fashion week. Shows like Alice + Olivia, Rebecca Minkoff, and Peter Jensen embodied this trend. We’ve also seen brilliant pattern mixing, from J. Crew to Mary Katrantzou. Dark lips also seemed to make its way down the runway in more than a handful of shows. Metallics in military fashion also managed to pop up in different collections. Badgley Mischka seemed to perfect it by using leather to craft jackets and then decked them out in sequins and shiny metallics. He topped them off with fur collars and sharp shoulders to complete the look. We still have a lot to see with Milan and Paris fashion week coming up. If you’re interested in fashion week schedule and whats to come you can go here: http://fashionweekdates.com/fashion-week-2012-dates.html. We’re excited to see what else there is to come! Below are the articles we have for this week and where to find them. Also, if you’re interested in Loyola Looks or the BSA Fashion show, check out the video below and if you’d like to participate in either one, email Rachel at rcsims@loyola.edu. We’d also like to take this time to congratulate Greycomm, Loyola’s student run television studio for its 10th year anniversary! Loyola Looks also managed to make the front cover :) You can read the story here:http://www.loyolagreyhound.com/arts/decade-transforms-greycomm-studios-into-more-than-just-a-television-studio-1.2788773?pagereq=1#.T0Tzc2VpNLd
