A Bittersweet Farewell

Well the time has come for us to bring to you our last issue of the semester; always a bittersweet moment for us. With everyone finishing up with their finals and packing up to go home, we can’t help but believe another year has flown by. As with every year, our staff has to say goodbye to our seniors as they go off on their separate paths. This year is a little different, as we are sadly saying goodbye to the founder and president of our very own Loyola Looks site, Rachel Sims. As we close the post for this issue, she’d like to leave you with a quick sendoff message:

Hi everyone! I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone for their help with the club and site over the past four years. It has truly been such a great and fun experience to be a part of this group since being here at Loyola. I hope that with the creation of this site, the students at Loyola will continue to keep fashion alive on campus and continue to build up the club as time goes on. We’ve had a great staff as each year goes by and I’ll miss everyone! I want to send a special thanks to Amy Choi and Katie Navarro for their help in starting the club way back in 2009, as well as Tania Rosas Moreno and Ronnie Gunnerson for their mentorship. I’d also like to thank Celia Goldsmith for encouraging us to push forward with our idea to create the club and site and being a great friend and mentor over the past four years. And finally, I’d like to thank you all, the readers, who have stuck with us since the beginning and continue to make us happy with bringing you fashion news week to week. With that, I’m proud to announce that Nicole Santarpia and Sahtia Rivers-Elliott will be taking over a co-presidents next year, and I’m confident they’ll do me proud! Thanks again everyone!
