Bold Colors: Though classic blondes and browns will always be in style, an emerging trend in 2012 is bold, vivid colors for hair. Break out the box of Crayola crayons and pick a color, because you will probably be able to find a matching dye for your hair. Some popular vibrant colors that have recently emerged include pinks, greens, and purples.
Red hair:One bold color that has growing popularity is red, of a variety of shades (though the brighter the better). Cherry-red, blood-orange, and strawberry blonde work well with pale complexions, while darker-skinned women may want to try a rich auburn (shortlonghairstyles.info).
Multi-toneFrom the subtle to the “double rainbow all the way” in your hair, women are experimenting with multi-tone styles of color. It’s a great way to exercise your creativity with color by not picking just one.
Ombre:If rainbow colors are not your thing, you can still experiment with two-tone hair color. Ombre styles run shades dark to light, root to tip, and still give you a bold contrast. Ombre works well with natural colors like browns, reds, and blondes.
Highlighting:Another developing trend for 2012 is using highlights of color rather than large sections or a full head of hair. Purple and red highlights go well with brown hair, chunky highlights being the most popular.

Accessories:If a permanent change is too dramatic for your liking, but you’d still like to add a splash of eye-popping color to your look, try attaching feathers or tinsel to small sections of hair—like select highlights. Unlike all-over highlights, they’ll add some pizzazz without changing your general  look, and they’re temporary, making it easy to switch colors when boredom sets in.
